What do you do at Stan Sherlock Associates?

I am a Yorkshire Building Society Customer Consultant and member of the Business Support Team. I help support the business in lots of different ways, I help greet our clients, answer the phones, help with paperwork, filing and general administration on the ground floor. I also support our Yorkshire Building Society Agency and clients with their savings, bonds, ISAs and general transactions and queries.

What do you enjoy the most about being a member of the Business Support Team?

I enjoy the variety, no two days are the same and it's a wonderful team to be a part of. The work is so different to anything I've done before and I love learning all the new systems and procedures. I also enjoy that there are so many different ways I can help support the business and our clients, it makes me feel like I am really helping to make a difference to their lives.

What has surprised you the most about working in Financial Services?

I am surprised that financial services aren't all about numbers, it's about the person and helping them get the life they want. I have worked in a lot of different industries that were centred around customer service, but the Financial Services are centred around the customer.

Describe yourself in 3 words?

I would say that I am outgoing, motivated, and positive.

Would your family use the same three words?

I would like to think so but probably not.

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

I would say music and my dog.

If you could choose any superpower, what would you choose and why?

Invisibility so I could sneak onto aeroplanes and bag myself a free holiday!
